Lino cutting is related to wood cutting and is one of the oldest

techniques for manually reproducing art. Relief print technique has been

used already by Babylonian and Celtic artists. Compared to modern print

techniques the procedure of relief print is relatively simple and it

depends foremost on artistic talent how the technique is exploited to

its best.

For the third time Púca Press has invited artists to express themselves

through the medium of linocut. Marijke van Weijk and Hans Blank are from

Holland, Dominique Lieb is from Switzerland. For this year's Féile na

Bealtaine we join printmakers from Chorca Duibhne and from Dublin for an

exhibition on printmaking in the Greenlane Galery in Dingle, Co.Kerry.
